What's Palo Santo?
Palo Santo is a fragrant wood that has been considered precious for centuries. It comes from a tree native to the coast of South America and is related to Frankincense and Myrrh. It has been used for everything from important shamanic rituals to simply perfuming the homes of natives in Ecuador. Palo Santo, meaning “holy stick”, has become a recognizable part of many Western yoga studios and home smudging stations.

Sustainable Harvest
In recent years, the harvesting practices of palo santo have come to the forefront of concerns within the wellness community and beyond. It can take 10 years for a tree to produce oil. In order to preserve these precious trees, only aged, dead wood is gathered from the forest floor, which allows for the production of oil without causing harm to living trees.

Thanks for your review, and we appreciate your feedback! Since our Plastic Free is made from paperboard, there are some nuances to using the paperboard container, but many customers find it worth it to use a container that is biodegradable and plastic free! Some tips and tricks we find useful are to gently twist the lid on and off versus putting straight on. As well as tapping the base of the deodorant on a flat surface to move the stick back into the tube when done swiping. We also recommend storing your deodorant in a dry and room temperature location.

To be honest, the initial price threw me a little bit. After the discount for 1st order having to sign up with my email & a phone number, it put it at the same price as my prior deodorant. So because of that, I was willing to give it a try. I love it. It works so well, & the scent is amazing. I'll admit watching the advertisement with Jason Momoa is what made me pay attention to you guys in the first place.

Thanks for your review, and we're stoked to hear you love our Plastic Free Palo Santo and Frankincense deodorant! When it comes to pricing we source the highest quality ingredients and always use real essential oils and botanical extracts as opposed to fragrances which are much cheaper to produce. While the product inside the tube is exactly the same as our other deodorants, you are getting more deodorant in our Plastic Free packaging, 2.65 oz to be exact. The cost of the paperboard tube also contributes to the higher price. Biodegradable materials are special and simply cost more to produce. It's an investment we hope you can feel good about though, as every purchase makes a difference~
