YES! Every bit, from the paper tube to the silica-derived liner and vegetable cellulose finish is biodegradable.

Our paper tube typically breaks down in 2-5 months, depending on the environmental conditions, such as temperature, air circulation, and moisture.

Nope! Some paperboard deodorant containers are lined with plastic, meaning they are not fully biodegradable. Our liner is made from a verified biodegradable plastic-free liner.

Yes! Same great Humble formulas and scents.

This is a great question. Really, it depends on YOU. If Humble customers and other earth-conscious folks are as excited about our plastic free packaging as we are, then we will certainly expand our scent options in the future.

While the product inside the tube is exactly the same as our other deodorants, you are getting more deodorant in our plastic free packaging, 2.65 oz to be exact. The cost of the paperboard tube also contributes to the higher price. Biodegradable materials are special and simply cost more to produce. It's an investment you can feel good about though, as every purchase makes a difference.

First time Humble brand user. I went with the Star Anise Soap, the Palo Santo deodorant to begin with. It's my favorite. An Excellent product! Soaps smell amazing & the deodorant Last a very long time without having to reapply. Bergamot & Ginger Deodorant Can't say enough about how great it all is. Went with the plastic-free push-up and I'm pumped about it. ingenious.

Thank you for your review, and I am happy to further assist. It sounds like you might be experiencing an ingredient sensitivity. Sometimes baking soda or various essential oil blends can cause irritation that occurs immediately or take a longer time to develop. If you have been using our Original formula, our Sensitive Skin & Vegan line might be a good fit for you. Check out more details here on our blog post. I love this fragrance! It keeps me smelling nice and fresh. I also like the sustainable packaging of the plastic-free container. It is easy to use and compact.

Rebranded container- huge mistake

I’ve used the bergamot ginger deodorant for years, and was pumped about the plastic-free redesign. Unfortunately, this new container is a mess. The deodorant tube slides down when applying, scraping your pits with cardboard edges. Bits of deodorant smear down the outside of the tube when you recap leaving little pieces hanging off the edge and gets on your hands when uncapping. It’s kinda gross. I’m hoping this beta version of sustainable packaging gets improved because I love the product.

We're sorry the paperboard container wasn't a fit for you. There are nuances with any container and our priority with the paperboard container was to make something that is biodegradable and plastic free. We will still contiue to offer our PCR plastic packaging as some customers prefer this option over the paperboard packaging.
