Invigorating Rose & Ginger Mocktail
Ingredients
Make the Mocktail
- 2 tablespoons ginger juice
- Top with your choice of sparkling water
- Fresh roses for garnish
- 1-2 tablespoons rose simple syrup (instructions below)
Rose Simple Syrup
- 2 oz edible dried roses
- 2 cup water
- 2 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Place the rose petals in a medium saucepan, add water and sugar and bring to a simmer, stirring once or twice.
- Stir in the lemon juice.
- Simmer very gently for 10 minutes, do not let it come to boil as I believe that boiling will encourage all the essential oil to evaporate, you need the the oil for flavor and aroma.
- Turn the heat off and let cool.
- Once, cooled store in the fridge
