What's Palo Santo?

Palo Santo is a fragrant wood that has been considered precious for centuries. It comes from a tree native to the coast of South America and is related to Frankincense and Myrrh. It has been used for everything from important shamanic rituals to simply perfuming the homes of natives in Ecuador. Palo Santo, meaning “holy stick”, has become a recognizable part of many Western yoga studios and home smudging stations.

Sustainable Harvest

In recent years, the harvesting practices of palo santo have come to the forefront of concerns within the wellness community and beyond. It can take 10 years for a tree to produce oil. In order to preserve these precious trees, only aged, dead wood is gathered from the forest floor, which allows for the production of oil without causing harm to living trees.

We work with palo santo essential oil that is ECOCERT/COSMO approved.

The scent is dead on.

So far the deodorant has lasted all day even in 90 degree weather and lots of running around. The scent is perfection. I love burning palo santo not for spiritual reasons but simply because the scent is amazing. I’m so happy this is such a perfect match.
