Vegan & Sensitive Skin line vs. Original deodorant line?
Our original and well loved deodorant line contains fractionated coconut oil, beeswax, cornstarch and baking soda in its formulation. This recipe creates a soft, smooth texture while effectively combating odor. Due to some customers sensitivity to baking soda or the desire to substitute beeswax with a plant-based ingredient, we crafted our Sensitive Skin/Vegan line that contains fractionated coconut oil, wild-harvested candelilla wax, non-GMO cornstarch and magnesium hydroxide.

Is your Palo Santo ethically and sustainably harvested?
Here is a statement from Eden Botanicals, our Palo Santo distributor: “Since Palo Santo trees are protected, we work with an established company owned by an ethnobotanist committed to protecting this resource. They not only harvest dead fall, but have a nursery with saplings per part of their reforestation project. This project has helped to protect old trees and those newly planted trees with the help of the corresponding authority M.A.E, (Ministry of the Environment). In fact our source of Palo Santo is licensed as sustainable and traceable by the Ministry of Environment of Ecuador. The traceability of the Palo Santo begins with the territorial organization, planting, forest control, analysis of reforested hectares, tree quality control, collection and exit to the laboratory, product evaluation. Additionally, no live trees are killed during the harvesting process.”

This is a great option for those who react negatively to baking soda.

Why am I having irritation with natural deodorant?
Baking soda is extremely effective at neutralizing odor, however, we’ve found that a percentage of the population experiences irritation to this active ingredient. For some, this results in small bumps or a mild burning sensation because baking soda is too harsh for their body’s pH. For this reason, we created our Vegan & Sensitive Skin line that utilizes magnesium hydroxide for odor protection instead of baking soda.
Why am I experiencing pilling residue from your deodorant?
Deodorant pilling occurs when too much deodorant is applied to the armpit and clumps into tiny balls and can be a nuisance. We recommend 2-3 swipes and rubbing in any excess with your finger tips. The first application can also lead to this phenomenon and should go away in subsequent applications.
Why does your deodorant sometimes leave a stain on my clothing?
A little goes a long way with our deodorants. We’ve found that when customers overapply deodorant this leads to an increase of stains on clothing. We recommend 2-3 swipes to stay fresh all day and rubbing in any excess deodorant with your finger tips. This minimizes the residual deodorant that can attach to clothing and cause staining.
